We design and develop integrated security systems that protect people, property, and assets from edge to core, combining access control, perimeter security, perimeter intrusion detection, and video technologies.
We are looking for an IT Support Engineer to support our strategic growth and new challenges! This role is responsible for:
- Ensuring the smooth operation of the information system and the quality of the network, taking into account user expectations and needs, while ensuring maximum system security.
- Implementing the operational and security strategy of the Group and the Company.
- Liaising between Group IT and UK business stakeholders for continuous improvement and technological advancement of the wider business.
Key responsibilities:
- To achieve the objectives set by the Group IT department, including participation in the definition of strategy and implementation of development projects.
- To perform needs analysis and technology watch, to anticipate necessary changes and propose improvements.
- To implement and administrate operating systems and networks with the IT department.
- To maintain and develop a system and network infrastructure with the IT department and to provide technical support to new system projects.
Qualifications/Skills required to succeed in the position:
- Proficiency in architecture and system functionalities.
- Telecoms technologies, Internet.
- Office environments.
- Operating systems (e.g. Windows 10/11, Windows Server 2016, Linux).
- Active Directory and LDAP directories.
- IT and telecommunications security standards and procedures.
- Network and system administration.
Knowledge of:
- VMWare or Hyper-V virtualization.
- Communication protocols.
- Installing, configuring and troubleshooting IT equipment.
Highly valued:
- 8 to 10 years of experience in a similar position.
Place of work: Position based in Poole HQ. Hybrid working after probation period.
Hours of Work: 40 hours per week (8.30am to 5.00pm from Monday to Friday - 30 min lunch break).
Salary & Benefits: £35-50k package depending on experience, Private Health care, Company Events, Company Laptop, Company pension scheme, Extensive training during an in-depth integration in Poole, TDSi offices with office space, meeting room, demo room, Parking, GYM and kitchen facilities, Career growth within TDSi/Hirsch UK as well within the Vitaprotech/Hirsch Group. Starting date: ASAP.
