Responsibilities
TikTok\’s Solutions Engineering team empowers businesses to grow by building impactful, scalable technical solutions on top of our Ads platform. We work directly with clients, product teams, and engineers to translate business challenges into high-quality, production-ready solutions.
As a Solutions Engineer, you\’ll contribute as a hands-on builder and problem solver – learning quickly, executing reliably, and always keeping the client\’s success at the center of your work. This is a great opportunity for early-career engineers who are passionate about both code and customer impact.
Responsibilities
– Build and deliver reliable, high-quality software solutions that help advertisers succeed on TikTok – including internal tools, APIs, and product integrations.
– Work closely with experienced engineers and client-facing teams to understand business needs and translate them into well-scoped technical deliverables.
– Learn TikTok\’s Ads platform, APIs, and systems architecture quickly and deeply, gaining independence in designing and executing technical solutions.
– Balance engineering excellence with business context: write clean code, test thoroughly, and optimize for both correctness and impact.
– Participate in technical design discussions, integration reviews, and client engagements to ensure what we build solves real problems.
– Document your solutions and share learnings with internal teams to help scale best practices.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
– Bachelor\’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
– 1+ years of software engineering experience.
– Proficient in at least one general-purpose programming language (e.g., Python, Java, Go, C++).
– Strong foundation in software development principles – including data structures, algorithms, and backend systems.
– Ability to learn new technologies and domains quickly, and execute with high attention to detail.
– Excellent communication skills – able to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams and advocate for both engineering and client needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
– Exposure to backend APIs, systems design, or product integrations.
– Interest in advertising technology and how businesses grow through digital platforms.
– Experience working in cross-functional environments or on projects with real-world impact.
