Overview

The Physical Security System and Technology Team, within the Physical Security department of Corporate Services, leverages technology to guard against security risks in the workplace. The team is responsible for the daily operation, maintenance, and upgrades of global physical security and prevention systems (such as Lenel, Hikvision, Avigilon, etc.) and for managing physical security-related data.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to users, document system issues, analyze root causes, propose solutions, fix issues, and provide status updates and periodic incident reports to management.
• Work with SQL database open connectivity development and guide internal R&D teams on integration between internally developed applications and security systems.
• Coordinate with security system vendors to ensure outstanding issues raised by internal R&D teams are addressed in a timely manner; document issues and provide periodic status updates to management.
• Act as primary point of contact to the security system vendor and attend periodic vendor meetings as required.
• Perform periodic system health checks to ensure safe, stable, and efficient operation of security systems on a global basis.
• Perform application and system upgrades based on vendor recommendations, ensure the version in use meets standard operation, enhance software capabilities, and develop testing and validation procedures.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Studied in Computer Science, Information Technology, Programming & Systems Analysis, or Science.
• Experience in one or more programming languages (scripting with Shell and Python, and SQL).
• Experience in designing, building, and maintaining large-scale distributed applications and systems, or experience with databases, operating systems, and servers management and maintenance.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Highly self-motivated, able to proactively identify problems and promote continuous development of related projects.
• Lenel physical security applications & systems certified/trained.
