About the team: The EU MAI (Merchant Acquisition and Incubation) team operates within the SMB pillar of TikTok E-commerce, spearheading the acquisition and onboarding journey for new sellers. The team is responsible for EU TikTok Shop merchants and merchandise growth, aiming to onboard, incubate, educate merchants from scratch and drive their business success.
Responsibilities
- Optimise Seller Registration & Onboarding
- Analyse the end-to-end seller funnel (registration → onboarding → first listing) to identify where merchants drop off or get stuck.
- Diagnose the root causes of friction — UX issues, policy confusion, verification delays, documentation gaps — and translate them into clear problem statements for Product and Ops teams.
- Support experiments and process improvements to increase registration completion and onboarding success rates.
- Track onboarding funnel KPIs and surface insights regularly to stakeholders.
- Drive Product Listing & Sellable Supply Growth
- Execute high-volume product listings on TikTok Shop, working directly with merchants to bring products live.
- Increase the number of sellable SPUs/SKUs by identifying listing gaps, fixing errors, and unblocking merchant issues.
- Support cross-EU product enablement, ensuring products are live and sellable across multiple EU markets.
- Analyse listing funnel performance to identify key drop-offs and operational bottlenecks.
- Own Merchant Enablement Through Clear & Scalable Communication
- Identify where merchants get confused or stuck during the registration and listing process.
- Rebuild outreach and education materials into clear, structured, and visual guides that merchants can actually follow.
- Develop scalable communication playbooks adaptable across EU markets (DE, FR, IT, ES).
- Continuously iterate based on merchant feedback and execution outcomes.
- Support Seller Incentive & Merchant Research Initiatives
- Assist in executing seller incentive programmes targeting onboarding milestones (e.g. first listing, first sale, catalogue depth targets) and analyse their performance.
- Support structured merchant research (surveys, interviews, feedback sessions) to surface pain points across the seller journey.
- Synthesise findings into clear insights that inform product decisions, education strategy, and operational priorities.
- Ad-hoc Execution & Strategic Projects
- Take ownership of ad-hoc projects that require both strong execution and structured problem-solving.
- Build dashboards or trackers to monitor key seller growth metrics.
- Contribute to strategic projects such as market entry playbooks or seller segmentation frameworks.
Who We're Looking For
- Comfortable with execution-heavy, detail-oriented work and can maintain accuracy at scale.
- Enjoy turning messy, unclear processes into structured, repeatable workflows.
- Take ownership and follow through — you don't stop at “identifying an issue,” you help push it to resolution.
- Communicate clearly across audiences — whether writing a merchant guide or a problem statement for a product team.
- Learn fast, ask good questions, and actively look for ways to improve how things are done.
- Interested in e-commerce, marketplace operations, and growth strategy, and want hands‑on exposure rather than shadowing.
Minimum Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in the UK.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- Comfortable working with data in Excel / Google Sheets is required.
- Skilled in Tableau/Power BI and MS Office; SQL or Python experience for data processing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in e-commerce, marketplaces, operations, consulting, or fast-paced startups.
- Ability to analyse funnels or operational data and clearly articulate where things break.
- Experience creating clear documentation, guides, or process playbooks.
- Comfortable working across teams and pushing progress without formal authority.
