This role will support our new platform. SoundOn is an all-in-one platform powered by TikTok, designed to better serve music creators through each step of their career - from TikTok integrated promotion tools to universal music distribution, from diverse monetization opportunities to smart music creation. SoundOn exists to give every music creator & label the power to authentically connect with new audiences and "do music" their way.
Responsibilities
- Support distribution operations by working with product and music teams to set up, monitor, and administrate timed music releases in our system.
- Oversee the catalog onboarding process with new clients for efficient content and metadata ingestion between clients and off-platform partners.
- Moderate and enforce on and off-platform operational standards to ensure the successful delivery of client releases.
- Help troubleshoot and identify any issues involved in the distribution process between clients and distribution partners, ensuring all assets are delivered correctly and deadlines are met for clients and vendors.
- Communicate and respond to inbound requests from clients, digital service platforms and distribution partners.
- Refine internal workflows and set best practices to improve the client and distribution experience.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Familiarity with third-party content management systems and programs including iTunes Connect, Spotify For Music Providers, and YouTube CMS.
- Proven experience managing music metadata, DSP deliveries and navigating complex operational setups.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
- Strong problem-solving ability and technical understanding of the music distribution pipeline.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3 years of experience in an operational or supply chain role at a content or music distribution company.
- Familiarity with DDEX, XML, and other metadata standards preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with clients and colleagues.
- Customer support experience and familiarity with ticketing systems.
- Proficiency in Excel.
