Responsibilities

About the Team

The Business Planning & Operations team take a strategic approach to driving impact cross-functionally across TikTok. They work with multiple business units and senior stakeholders including, but not limited to, Category, Partnerships, Strategy, Governance & Experience and Data Science. This team drives forward business growth and operational efficiency by providing significant business diagnosis and practical solutions through the use of analytical insights.

Our Mission

To drive sustainable growth within the European market by balancing Operating Efficiency, Merchant Experience, and Governance Health. You will optimize platform mechanisms and lead strategic initiatives to ensure long-term merchant retention, high-quality GMV expansion, and the development of a scalable, compliant merchant ecosystem.

We are looking for a motivated Business Planning & Operations Intern based in London to support strategic research, business analytics, data processing and cross-functional project execution for TikTok global e-commerce business. We are looking for talented individuals to join us for an internship. Our internship program offers students hands-on experience, industry exposure, and opportunities to apply their knowledge to real-world challenges while building a strong foundation for personal and professional growth. Interns will gain practical experience, explore potential career paths, and participate in social events, learning programs, and development workshops alongside industry professionals.

Deeply participate in strategic research, business analysis and data processing for TikTok international e-commerce business. Collaborate closely with cross-functional business teams to advance key strategic projects and ensure effective strategy implementation and execution. Conduct industry landscape research, sort out market insights and support core business strategic decision-making. Organize and analyze business data, output structured analytical insights to drive business optimization.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualification(s):

  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Business, Economics, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with multiple priorities.
  • Strong business acumen and a collaborative, proactive mindset.

Preferred Qualification(s):

  • Experience working in or with e-commerce or tech platforms.
  • Familiarity with seller operations, cohort analysis, or lifecycle management.
  • Passion for using data to drive impact and continuous optimization.
