Regulatory Response Analyst, Malay - Trust & Safety

Responsibilities
- Investigate and resolve reported incidents across multiple channels for TikTok and coordinate our response to global partners inquiries. This could be a time sensitive response to a critical government regulatory report, a safety related matter raised by our Community Partner Channel partner or a trending challenge that may pose harm to our community.
- Participate in risk containment efforts across various global cross‑functional teams including Public Policy, Legal, Product and Engineering, among others to handle and respond to crisis.
- Analyse incident trends, systems and data to develop improvements to the overall incident processes and drive improvements across process, policy and product.
- Stakeholder collaboration: utilize data‑driven insights to influence stakeholders and transform frontline signals into product, policy, and detection enhancements.
- Conduct analysis, review market data to identify root causes and implement lessons learned into policies, processes, and tooling improvements.
Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years experience in a fast paced environment, preferably in Trust & Safety Operations or Incident, Policy, Risk or Crisis Management roles.
- Good knowledge of the South East Asia region, with fluency in both Malay and English to effectively engage with regional stakeholders and global teams.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment, strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with different teams.
- Good project management skills, with a proven record of driving change from conception to execution.
- Be flexible with global working hours and with working on certain weekends, on a rotation basis.
- Knowledge of cultural sensitivities and regional differences in harmful content definitions and enforcement.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Quantitative skills, a data driven mindset.
- Experience working in a technology, start‑up, or digital platform environment.
- Understanding of trust and safety tech policies, global legal and regulatory frameworks related to online safety and harm prevention communication.

Hence, it is possible that this role will be exposed to harmful content on a daily basis.
