About the team: The Merchant Acquisition and Incubation (MAI) team manages the incubation journey for high potential sellers within TikTok E-commerce EU. As a Merchandise Acquisition / Incubation Intern, you will support the EU‑MAI team with merchant onboarding, product listing, and high‑potential product incubation. This role offers hands‑on exposure to EU E‑commerce operations, merchant education, merchandise strategy, and data‑driven decision‑making. You will play a key role in scaling sellable merchandise supply across European markets while improving merchant experience and product quality on the platform.
As a project intern, you will have the opportunity to engage in impactful short‑term projects that provide you with a glimpse of professional real‑world experience. You will gain practical skills through on‑the‑job learning in a fast‑paced work environment and develop a deeper understanding of your career interests. - Drive Product Listing & Sellable Supply Growth
- Execute high‑volume product listings on TikTok Shop, working directly with merchants to bring products live.
- Increase the number of sellable SPUs/SKUs by identifying listing gaps, fixing errors, and unblocking merchant issues.
- Support cross‑EU product enablement, ensuring products are live and sellable across multiple EU markets.
- Own Merchant Enablement Through Clear & Scalable Communication
- Identify where merchants get confused or stuck during the listing process.
- Rebuild outreach and education materials into clear, structured, and visual guides that merchants can actually follow.
- Continuously iterate communication based on merchant feedback and execution outcomes.
- Analyse Listing Funnel Pain Points & Partners with Product Teams
- Track and analyse product listing funnel performance to identify key drop‑offs and operational bottlenecks.
- Translate execution‑level issues into clear problem statements for Product and Ops teams.
- Support experiments and feature improvements to increase listing success rate and efficiency.
- Support Product Acquisition & Incubation Strategy
- Analyse product performance and supply quality to identify high‑potential SPUs and categories.
- Support incubation initiatives by helping merchants optimise assortment, pricing, and readiness for scale.
- Contribute to building repeatable frameworks for product acquisition and incubation.
- Ad‑hoc Execution & Strategic Projects
- Take ownership of ad‑hoc projects that require both strong execution and structured problem‑solving.
Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in university pursuing a Bachelor's degree or above.
- Result‑oriented and self‑motivated, able to balance and manage multiple tasks and apply initiative.
- Skilled in Tableau/Power BI and MS Office; SQL or Python experience for data processing is a plus.
- Collaborative and able to work with multiple stakeholders.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in e‑commerce, marketplaces, operations, consulting, or fast‑paced startups.
- Ability to analyse funnels or operational data and clearly articulate where things break.
- Experience creating clear documentation, guides, or process playbooks.
