Overview
In this role, you will lead the global technology audit program for TikTok’s payments, lending, and fintech ecosystem outside China, shaping the assurance approach and adopting data analytics and AI to uncover insights. You will work with cross-functional teams to assess technology, security, data, and regulatory risks, delivering impactful findings at scale. You’ll partner with engineering and product teams to strengthen controls and risk mitigations. This is a high-impact opportunity to influence how innovative payment products are audited and governed across multiple jurisdictions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the global technology audit strategy for payments, lending, and regulated financial products outside China
- Lead complex, risk-based technology audits and advisory reviews from planning to reporting
- Assess payment technology architecture, data flows, and control environments across digital wallets and stored-value products
- Review end-to-end payment processing, including acceptance, authorization, settlement, reconciliation, and disbursement
- Evaluate payment security, data protection, API security, and third-party integrations
- Perform risk assessments and provide practical recommendations aligned with product, engineering, and regulatory requirements
- Leverage data analytics and AI to detect risks and develop audit solutions
- Manage stakeholder relationships and communicate findings to senior management
- Ensure quality and consistency of audit work and seek process improvements
Key requirements
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in technology auditing of FinTech, regulated payment, or lending products
- Experience leading complex technology audits independently from planning through reporting
- Strong understanding of payment systems, transaction flows, architecture, and control environments
- Analytical ability to assess complex tech environments against risk outcomes and regulatory requirements
- Excellent problem solving, collaboration, and communication skills; ability to challenge the business credibly
