Team Insight: The DataCenter Service / Datacenter Cloud System (DCS) team sits within TikTok's global technology structure and supports the company's fast growth by building and operating hyper-scale datacenters, managing the life cycle of server fleet, providing cloud solutions, and developing various infrastructure services, making sure they are scalable and reliable.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the design review of electromechanical and related disciplines for new data centers, and evaluate the effectiveness and operational stability of existing data center design solutions.
  • Support the technical management of procurement for global data center projects and conduct evaluations on various technical proposals.
  • Take part in discussions on engineering commissioning and testing, and define test plans required to verify each design indicator.
  • Empower the data center facility operation and maintenance team, and assist in developing response plans to address design limitations and potential risks.
  • Conduct on-site inspections to identify operational risks in computer rooms and ensure the continuous, safe and stable operation of data centers.
  • Provide on-site emergency technical support during incidents and undertake technical review in post-incident reviews.

Minimum Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or HVAC.
  • Lead commissioning team to conduct Level 1 to Level 5 commissioning tests, verify design intent and resolve technical issues during execution.
  • Familiar with global data center industry standards, capable of data center drawing review.
  • Experience in electrical and/or mechanical engineering: generator, chiller, cooling tower, AHU, UPS, power distribution systems, etc.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to clarity and details.
