This role sits within the EMEA E-Commerce Governance and Experience team for TikTok Shop. The Governance and Experience (GNE) team is a global team responsible for ensuring our marketplace is safe, trustworthy and engaging for all our users, customers, sellers and creators. We put the customer at the heart of our business and work on policies, rules, products and systems to ensure a best in class customer experience. The Seller Governance team plays an impactful role in delivering GNE's mission by building policies, rules and systems to ensure we have reliable and high performing sellers by defining the policies and performance standards for our sellers.

About the Role: This position is responsible for leading seller lifecycle governance initiatives focused on post-probation seller management across EMEA. We are looking for a program leader who combines strategic thinking with strong execution capabilities to drive large-scale and complex governance programs, develop long-term governance roadmaps, and deliver scalable operational and policy improvements in a fast-moving, high-growth environment. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, structured, and comfortable navigating ambiguity while balancing ecosystem growth, governance effectiveness, operational scalability, and customer experience considerations across multiple markets and stakeholders.

  • Lead the design and execution of seller lifecycle governance strategies and roadmaps that minimise ecosystem risks, improve seller performance, strengthen customer trust, and support long-term ecosystem health across TikTok Shop EMEA.
  • Own and drive end-to-end large-scale, complex cross-functional governance programs across multiple markets, including problem scoping, roadmap prioritisation, stakeholder alignment, launch coordination, and post-launch performance tracking.
  • Analyse ecosystem data, operational signals, investigations, and cross-functional feedback to identify trends, structural gaps, emerging risks, and high-risk seller behaviours, translating findings into strategic recommendations, business cases, and scalable governance solutions.
  • Develop and improve scalable governance frameworks, operational mechanisms, policies, and automation strategies to enhance governance effectiveness, operational efficiency, and seller quality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Product, Algo, Governance Ops, Business Ops, Legal) to define business requirements, design the best-fit governance solutions, and drive scalable improvements.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for Seller Governance programs by developing monitoring mechanisms to measure ecosystem risks and performance, managing escalations, and proactively identifying challenges and improvement opportunities, while providing structured, data-driven insights and recommendations to support leadership decision-making and strategic direction.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in e-commerce, operations, compliance, marketplace governance, or related fields.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive action (Excel/Sheets required; SQL a plus).
  • Clear and effective communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, adapt to fast‑changing environments, and manage multiple priorities with strong ownership and accountability.
  • Experience in e-commerce, marketplace platforms, or policy/governance‑related functions with strong commercial acumen.
