The Physical Security department is responsible for the overall security of the company's personnel, physical assets and facilities. Based on security risks, the Physical Security team establishes and continuously improves security policies, procedures, standards, infrastructure, human and technical preventive measures, employee security awareness, alarm and incident response capabilities, etc., to safeguard the company's business operations worldwide.
As the Regional Crisis Manager, you will be responsible for advancing and operationalising the Crisis Management program for the region, and also be the crisis coordinator/advisor of Local/Regional CMTs across your region with quick response and solving issues and problems. Your quick thinking and stakeholder management skills will be put to practical use to resolve crises by your team in a timely and appropriate manner.
Responsibilities
- Crisis Management Strategy & Programme Development: Drive the regional adoption, operationalisation, development and continuous improvement of the company's Physical Security's (PSec) global Crisis Management (CM) strategy, ensuring consistent methodology, standards and practices across the region.
- Crisis Management Team Readiness & Preparedness: Lead and coordinate tactical and strategic Crisis Management Teams (CMTs), including maintaining team rosters and response plans, tracking CMT maturity and readiness, and enhancing preparedness tools, capabilities and risk registers.
- Training, Exercises & Capability Building: Design and deliver regional CMT training, risk-based exercises and workshops to strengthen crisis preparedness and response capabilities; communicate crisis management concepts clearly and effectively to non-technical audiences.
- Crisis Response & Post-Incident Management: Lead and facilitate real-time CMT activations in partnership with Security Managers and cross-functional stakeholders, including activation coordination and scribing; facilitate post-incident reviews and drive follow-up actions to address identified gaps.
- Risk & Threat Monitoring: Monitor existing and emerging physical security threats and the evolving risk landscape, translating insights into actions that strengthen regional crisis preparedness and organisational resilience.
- Stakeholder Management & Global Partnership: Build trusted relationships with regional partners and senior business leaders to strengthen programme awareness and engagement, enhance user experience and drive continuous improvement; support central projects that further develop and enhance the global CM programme.
- Team Leadership & Regional Support: Manage and mentor Crisis Specialists and junior team members to support regional needs, while undertaking other responsibilities as required.
Minimum Qualifications
- A proven record of managing crisis management operations, planning and/or exercises, including program design and implementation at the regional/global level.
- Strong project management skills and thought leadership.
- Coordinating corporate functions in a highly complex environment.
- Writing clearly and succinctly, and in a manner which appeals to a wide audience.
- Smart judgements and principled decision-making during high-urgency situations.
- Ability to work in the office five days a week and travel internationally on a frequent basis.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of crisis management experience in Europe, Middle East and Africa.
- In-depth understanding of Middle East geopolitics.
- Team management experience.
