As the Head of Growth for Tiki (UK), you are responsible for scaling our digital commerce and fintech footprint in the United Kingdom. This is a high-stakes, commercial leadership role focused on user acquisition, retention, and the rapid expansion of Tiki’s active user base within the UK-based diaspora. You will design and execute data-led growth strategies that transform Tiki from a challenger app into a dominant platform for the African diaspora to interact with the digital economy back home. You will bridge the gap between product performance, marketing execution, and revenue generation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Growth Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement a multi-channel growth roadmap to drive exponential user acquisition, focusing on cost-effective customer acquisition (CAC) and high lifetime value (LTV). Design and manage high-velocity experiments across digital and physical channels to accelerate user sign-ups and transaction activity. Leverage data analytics to identify and unlock new growth "hacks" and market segments within the UK diaspora.
  • Product-Led Growth & Conversion: Collaborate with the global product team to optimize the app’s onboarding, activation, and retention funnels based on UK-specific user behavior. Implement personalized user engagement strategies, including referral programs, loyalty incentives, and targeted messaging to reduce churn. Own the "Growth Stack"—utilizing CRM tools, marketing automation, and analytics platforms to drive automated, personalized user journeys.
  • Commercial Performance & Budgeting: Manage the UK growth marketing budget, ensuring maximum ROI across paid, earned, and owned media. Establish and report on key growth KPIs to the UK Managing Director and Group leadership. Monitor competitive landscape, market trends, and regulatory changes in the UK fintech space to keep Tiki ahead of the curve.
  • Ecosystem & Partnership Development: Build strategic partnerships with community organizations, influencers, and diaspora-focused platforms to drive brand trust and organic growth. Drive "Phygital" activations at community events, festivals, and key gathering points for the African diaspora in the UK.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, or a related field. An MBA is an added advantage.
  • Experience: 7+ years of experience in growth marketing, digital commerce, or fintech scaling roles, with a proven track record of managing high-budget campaigns in the UK market.
  • Skills:
    • Data Literacy: Expert-level proficiency in SQL, Google Analytics, Amplitude/Mixpanel, and CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, Braze, or HubSpot).
    • Growth Mindset: A "test-and-learn" approach with a strong bias toward performance-driven marketing.
    • Fintech Knowledge: Deep understanding of the UK digital payments or remittance landscape and the unique needs of the diaspora market.
    • Communication: Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams across different time zones.
