Tikehau Capital is seeking a Vice President / Director to support the origination, underwriting, execution and portfolio management of real estate debt & equity investments across Western Europe. The role will focus on a broad range of transactions including senior and junior loans, whole loans, bridge, select structured finance opportunities as well as value add equity transactions.

The successful candidate will combine strong credit and equity judgment, transaction execution capabilities and portfolio oversight experience, and will work closely with investment, legal, risk, compliance and operations teams across the platform.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in sourcing, underwriting and execution of complex CRE transactions across sectors, geographies and capital structures, from initial screening through closing.
  • Prepare, review financial models, investment memoranda and credit papers, including downside analysis, leverage metrics, asset performance and sponsor assessment.
  • Structure transactions and coordinate due diligence, documentation and internal approvals in partnership with legal, compliance, risk and capital markets teams.
  • Monitor and actively manage a portfolio of real estate credit investments, including amendments, restructurings, extensions, covenant monitoring and borrower dialogue.
  • Contribute to pipeline management, market intelligence and strategic origination efforts, maintaining strong relationships with borrowers, sponsors, brokers, intermediaries and financing counterparties.
  • Present recommendations clearly and credibly to investment and credit committees, while helping maintain high underwriting and governance standards across the platform.
Profile:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in finance, business, mathematics, engineering, statistics or related quantitative field preferred.
  • 6-8 years of experience in commercial real estate, real estate debt investing or real estate equity investing with a strong track record in complex transaction execution and ability to underwrite and execute a transaction from A to Z.
  • Deep understanding of CRE markets and underwriting, credit structuring and portfolio risk management across multiple asset classes and European markets.
  • Advanced financial modelling and analytical skills, with the ability to assess cash flows, downside scenarios, value protection and relative risk-adjusted returns.
  • Strong commercial judgment and confidence in dealing with borrowers, sponsors, advisors and internal senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce high-quality investment materials to present to investment committee.
  • Pro-active, rigorous, autonomous and collaborative, with the maturity to operate in a lean, entrepreneurial and international environment and help mentor junior team members.
  • Fluency in English is required; an additional European language such as German and Spanish would be an advantage.
