Job Summary

Tighten Ltd have a opportunity for a skilled Bricklayer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in masonry and be proficient in bricklaying, with experience using both hand tools and power tools. This role involves working on various construction projects, including residential and commercial buildings, where you will be responsible for constructing and repairing walls, floors, and other structures using bricks, concrete blocks, and other materials.

Responsibilities

• Lay bricks, concrete blocks, and other masonry materials to construct walls, arches, and other structures.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine project specifications.
• Measure and cut materials to the required dimensions using hand tools and power tools.
• Ensure that all work is completed to high standards of quality and safety.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters and welders, to complete projects efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area to promote safety on the job site.
• Perform repairs on existing structures as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in masonry or bricklaying is essential.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools related to masonry work.
• Knowledge of construction methods and safety regulations.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
• Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials as required.
• Previous experience working on roofs or with carpentry skills is an advantage.
• A valid driver\’s licence may be required for travel between job sites.
