Senior Field Engineer / Site Lead

Key Responsibilities

• In this role you will be responsible for installing and maintaining electronic security systems, performing preventive maintenance requirements and performing inspections, evaluations and inventory.
• Leading teams on large complex installation projects with limited supervision.
• Leading and documenting daily toolbox talks, ORMs and safety audits.
• Installing and maintaining equipment at both a local and global level, as per design packages.
• Programming and installing head-end equipment for access control, intrusion detection and CCTV systems.
• Troubleshooting and isolating both systems and/or hardware at both a local and global level.
• Leading on-site software commissioning and testing.
• Leading inspections, evaluations and inventory.
• Performing take-off project drawings.
• Creating, documenting and tracking RFIs.
• Design assistance and feedback.
• Documenting daily reports and project progress.
• Communicating project and team member issues/concerns to management.
• Creating and managing project schedule integration of IDS, ACS and CCTV systems.
• Forecasting and managing project labour hours.
• Communicating effectively with Supervisors and subordinates.
• Guiding and mentoring Technicians.

Experience Required

• 8+ years of electronics installation and/or maintenance activities on multiple systems and with multiple customer programs (with at least 3 years of this experience being within the Electronic Security Systems space).
• Strong oral, written and presentation skills.
• Demonstrated background working with multidisciplinary teams.
• Demonstrated time management and organisation skills to meet deadlines and quality objectives.
• Strong MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint Skills are a plus.

Key Requirements

• Hold a valid driver's license; the position may require ongoing or intermittent use of a company vehicle.
• Happy to stay away from home for 4-8 weeks (on average) at any one time.

Education

• HS diploma or GED.
• Military Electronics Training (minimum 720 classroom hours) / graduation from an accredited Electronics Technician program / graduation from an Electrical Apprenticeship program.

Qualifications

• Vendor certifications in multiple IDS, ACS and CCTV systems (C-CURE, Lenel, Identiv/Hirsch Velocity, Bosch Radionics, Bosch CCTV, Bosch BVMS, Bosch DIVAR, Aiphone, FFT, Windows operating systems) and experience in installing these systems.
