Key Responsibilities
- In this role you will be responsible for installing and maintaining electronic security systems, performing preventive maintenance requirements and performing inspections, evaluations and inventory.
- Leading teams on large complex installation projects with limited supervision.
- Leading and documenting daily toolbox talks, ORMs and safety audits.
- Installing and maintaining equipment at both a local and global level, as per design packages.
- Programming and installing head-end equipment for access control, intrusion detection and CCTV systems.
- Troubleshooting and isolating both systems and/or hardware at both a local and global level.
- Leading on-site software commissioning and testing.
- Leading inspections, evaluations and inventory.
- Performing take-off project drawings.
- Creating, documenting and tracking RFIs.
- Design assistance and feedback.
- Documenting daily reports and project progress.
- Communicating project and team member issues/concerns to management.
- Creating and managing project schedule integration of IDS, ACS and CCTV systems.
- Forecasting and managing project labour hours.
- Communicating effectively with Supervisors and subordinates.
- Guiding and mentoring Technicians.
Experience Required
- 8+ years of electronics installation and/or maintenance activities on multiple systems and with multiple customer programs (with at least 3 years of this experience being within the Electronic Security Systems space).
- Strong oral, written and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated background working with multidisciplinary teams.
- Demonstrated time management and organisation skills to meet deadlines and quality objectives.
- Strong MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint Skills are a plus.
Key Requirements
- Hold a valid driver's license; the position may require ongoing or intermittent use of a company vehicle.
- Happy to stay away from home for 4-8 weeks (on average) at any one time.
Education
- HS diploma or GED.
- Military Electronics Training (minimum 720 classroom hours) / graduation from an accredited Electronics Technician program / graduation from an Electrical Apprenticeship program.
Qualifications
- Vendor certifications in multiple IDS, ACS and CCTV systems (C-CURE, Lenel, Identiv/Hirsch Velocity, Bosch Radionics, Bosch CCTV, Bosch BVMS, Bosch DIVAR, Aiphone, FFT, Windows operating systems) and experience in installing these systems.
