This is a remote position.

The Sales Estimator is responsible for managing small works and sales quotations within the Electronic Security sector, ensuring profitable growth and high levels of customer satisfaction. This role involves conducting site surveys to assess client requirements, preparing lifecycle plans, and producing accurate quotations for new and existing customers. This position requires a blend of commercial acumen, technical knowledge, and relationship management skills to identify opportunities, maintain strong client partnerships, and achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Focus on sales and small works quotations and service agreements
  • Focus on the development of UK-based organisations for increased sales opportunities
  • Generate / respond to new sales opportunities in the UK
  • Provide professional and accurate proposals and estimates (and have the ability to recognise if there’s a need to amend sales proposals to ensure the organisation remains efficient and profitable)
  • Provide monthly and annual sales reports to your Line Manager
  • Coordinate with internal teams, Engineers, suppliers and subcontractors to ensure project timelines are met
  • Support other UK-based AEs when requested for small works opportunities
  • Ensure all opportunities are logged onto scorecard and provide accurate forecasting
  • Carry out technical surveys
  • Produce lifecycle reports for clients
  • Work closely with the Planned Preventative Maintenance team to ensure repairs / recommendations are presented and costed within a timely manner
  • Conduct small works post-installation reviews to ensure customer satisfaction is met
  • Ensure high standards of quality and compliance across all completed works
  • Produce presentations for prospective clients
  • Manage pre-qualification submissions

  • Willingness to travel and work in a global team of professionals
  • Knowledge of and previous experience within the Security industry

Education Requirements

  • Engineering or related field or equivalent certifications (desirable)

Certifications & Licenses

  • Industry-specific certifications a plus
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

The position may on occasion require personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, work boots, etc.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the colleague is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, and use hands to finger, handle, or touch objects or controls. On occasion, the colleague may be required to climb and work in high places, stoop, bend, or reach above the shoulders. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, colour vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

The position is a hybrid position with visits to customers and work sites in the field. The colleague regularly performs work-related travel which includes some global travel.
