Role overview The Hardware Engineer is responsible for supporting the development, integration and lifecycle management of hardware systems across the service.
The role focuses on requirements analysis, technical documentation, hardware design activities, component selection and compliance assurance.
Working closely with engineering, production, quality and project teams, the Hardware Engineer ensures that hardware solutions meet performance, reliability, maintainability and regulatory requirements throughout the system lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities Perform requirements analysis and contribute to the specification and design of hardware systems.
Analyse and maintain technical documentation, including schematics, wiring diagrams, drawings and design records.
Develop, review and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs), ensuring component suitability, availability and compliance.
Define wiring designs and support hardware architecture and component selection activities.
Support the creation and modification of technical drawings and 3D models using CAD tools.
