Due to continued growth and a strong project pipeline, they are seeking a Quality Engineer to join their team. This role will play a key part in ensuring that project deliverables meet the highest standards of quality, compliance, and performance. Working closely with engineering, operations, service management, and project stakeholders, you will help drive quality assurance activities across the project lifecycle and support continuous improvement initiatives.<\/span>

Key Responsibilities<\/span><\/b>
<\/p>

  • Support the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS) in line with ISO 9001 and contractual requirements.<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Develop and maintain quality procedures, plans, processes, and associated documentation.<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Plan and conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with defined procedures, regulations, and industry standards.<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Review project documentation and reports to ensure quality standards are met prior to approval.<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Define and maintain Contract Quality Control Plans aligned with project milestones and delivery schedules.<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Oversee verification activities and final deliverables before customer acceptance.<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Record, track, and manage non -conformities through to resolution, including corrective and preventive actions.<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Monitor quality performance against agreed objectives and KPIs.<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Analyse performance data, identify trends, and implement improvement initiatives where required.<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Develop and maintain Supplier Quality Plans, including supplier audits and inspection activities.<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Review supplier performance metrics to identify risks, trends, and opportunities for improvement.<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Lead lessons learned activities and ensure findings are documented and embedded into future projects.<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Measure and analyse the cost of poor quality and support initiatives to reduce quality -related issues.<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Lead root cause investigations and implement sustainable corrective actions to prevent recurrence.<\/span>

    <\/p>

    Required Experience<\/span><\/b>
    <\/p>

    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related discipline.<\/span>
      <\/li>
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Quality Engineer, Quality Assurance, or similar role within complex technical or engineering environments.<\/span>
      <\/li>
    • Experience working with public -sector organisations, ideally within transportation, infrastructure, engineering, or technology sectors.<\/span>
      <\/li>
    • Quality management certifications such as IRCA Internal Auditor (ISO 9001), ASQ Certified Quality Engineer, or equivalent.<\/span>
      <\/li>
    • Service Management knowledge, ideally ITIL Foundation or equivalent.<\/span>
      <\/li>
    • Strong understanding of UK and international quality management standards and best practices.<\/span>
      <\/li>
    • Experience coordinating or leading cross -functional teams and stakeholders.<\/span>
      <\/li>
    • Strong analytical skills with a structured approach to problem -solving.<\/span>

        <\/li>
      • Strong decision -making capabilities, particularly in high -pressure environments.<\/span>
        <\/li>
      • Experience supporting incident management, conflict resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives.<\/span>
        <\/li>
      • Highly organised with strong attention to detail.<\/span>
        <\/li>
      • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively within complex project environments.<\/span>

        Desirable Experience<\/span><\/b>
        <\/p>

        • Experience within mobility, transportation, ticketing, rail, highways, or intelligent transport systems (ITS) environments.<\/span>
          <\/li>
        • Experience working on projects involving regulated, safety -critical, or customer -facing operational systems.<\/span>
          <\/li>
        • Knowledge of supplier quality management and subcontractor oversight.<\/span>
