Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee our warehouse operations Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm . The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient processes, managing a team, and maintaining high standards of safety and productivity. This role requires strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of warehouse management systems, logistics, and materials handling.
Duties
- Supervise daily warehouse operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Manage and train warehouse staff, fostering a productive team environment.
- Oversee shipping and receiving processes to ensure timely and accurate order fulfilment.
- Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through effective use of warehouse management systems.
- Coordinate logistics for inbound and outbound shipments, liaising with third-party logistics (3PL) providers as necessary.
- Operate forklifts and other materials handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Perform regular inspections of equipment and facilities, addressing any mechanical issues promptly.
- Ensure heavy lifting tasks are carried out safely by trained personnel.
Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse management or a similar supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of materials handling techniques and safety protocols.
- Familiarity with logistics operations and shipping & receiving processes.
- Experience with warehouse management systems, particularly AS400 is advantageous.
- Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead staff effectively.
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues as they arise.
- Capability to handle heavy lifting tasks as required by the role.
