We have an exciting opportunity to join our finance team as a FP&A and Business Analyst intern for 6 months. The Intern will support the Finance Analyst in contributing directly to driving business success by providing financial planning, analysis, and strategic insights across the business. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in evaluating market trends, assessing commercial performance, and influencing key business decisions that enhance profitability and market success.
Key Accountabilities:
- Financial Reporting & Analysis: Assist in the preparation of comprehensive monthly financial reports, conducting variance analysis to understand performance drivers and support informed decision-making.
- Month-End Close Support: Support efficient monthly closing process and data validation.
- Retail Performance: Help monitor, track, and report on critical retail Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), providing valuable insights into operational efficiency and sales trends. Assist in preparing monthly retail performance packs for key stakeholders.
- Trade Reporting Assistance: Support the preparation and analysis of trade-related reports, contributing to the understanding of commercial terms and their financial impact.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Participate actively in the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting cycles, gaining exposure to strategic financial planning.
- Strategic Project Impact Assessment: Assist with financial simulations and impact assessments for new projects and initiatives, evaluating potential returns and risks.
- Process Improvement: Collaborate on initiatives to identify and implement improvements in financial processes, tools, and reporting methods.
Skills:
- Strong Analytical Acumen: Ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and actionable insights.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills: Proficiency in Excel, including experience with formulas, pivot tables, and data manipulation; familiarity with financial modeling is a significant plus.
- Learning Agility: Eager to learn new systems, software, and financial concepts quickly in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate financial information clearly and concisely.
- Proactive & Detail-Oriented: A self-starter with a high degree of curiosity, strong organizational skills, and meticulous attention to detail.

Qualifications & Requirements:
- Must be available full-time from the start of July.
- Must currently be based in London/United Kingdom.
- Must currently hold authorization to work in the United Kingdom.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
