The Role
As the Power Platform Engineer, you will define and lead the technical architecture, governance, and delivery of Power Platform solutions across the organisation and for external customers. You will design scalable, secure, and reusable solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Power Pages, and Copilot Studio, enabling workflow optimisation and digital transformation. This role is focused on solution architecture, application development, automation, and platform governance, with analytics as an enabler rather than the core focus.
The Candidate
- Power Platform Architecture & Delivery: Architect and deliver end-to-end Power Platform solutions aligned to business and customer needs. Lead the design and development of Power Apps (Canvas and Model-driven), Power Automate flows, Power BI integrations, Power Pages and Copilot Studio solutions, and integrate Power Platform with Azure services and external systems. Define architectural standards, patterns, and best practices. Develop reusable components, frameworks, and templates.
- Governance, Security & Compliance: Define and implement Power Platform governance models, advise on environment strategy, ALM, security roles, and data loss prevention. Ensure solutions meet security, compliance, and regulatory requirements. Partner with compliance and systems teams to safeguard data and platforms.
- Customer-Facing Workloads: Act as the technical lead on customer Power Platform projects. Facilitate solution design workshops and architecture reviews. Present and demonstrate Power Platform solutions to customers. Deliver training, handover sessions, and post-implementation support. Serve as a trusted technical advisor for customer digital transformation initiatives.
- Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Stay current with new Power Platform and Copilot features. Proactively introduce innovations that improve delivery, scalability, and user experience. Evaluate emerging Microsoft technologies and recommend adoption where appropriate.
- Collaboration & Documentation: Work closely with data, IT, and business teams. Produce high-quality solution architecture diagrams and technical documentation. Ensure code and solutions undergo peer review and are stored securely.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience architecting and delivering Power Platform solutions at scale.
- Deep expertise in Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages, and Copilot Studio.
- Strong understanding of Power Platform governance, ALM, and security.
- Proficiency in Power FX, DAX, T‑SQL, and M Language.
- Solid understanding of software development principles and methodologies.
- Strong customer-facing and presentation skills.
Qualifications / Accreditations
- Microsoft Power Platform Solution Architect (PL‑600) or equivalent.
- Willingness to pursue further relevant certifications.
