The Role

This is a great opportunity for an ambitious IT Engineer to deliver on-site support to our client based in Leeds.

The successful candidate will be an ambassador for TIEVA, who will act in a professional manner, deliver exemplary customer service to our clients end users and have a ‘can do’ attitude.

There is a requirement to work closely with the internal IT team to assist with scheduling and delivering projects of varying scales, e. g. laptop/mobile device rollouts.

On occasions there will be holiday cover required for the internal IT team.

The client does have a production facility, on rare occasions support will be required in the facility which will require you to follow the client Health & Safety measures and wear PPE.

This is a rolling schedule of 3 weeks on-site with the client and 1 week at TIEVA Head Office (LS28 5QS) or providing field-based support at other client sites, as required.

Please note that due to holiday or sickness cover, the onsite rotation may be extended to ensure continuity of service.

While on site at the client location you will have full access to the TIEVA technical team comprising of 35+ engineers, they will provide you with the support to enable escalations and quick resolutions.

As an IT Support Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality onsite and remote IT support across multiple client environments.

The role is primarily based at a dedicated client site, where you will provide hands-on technical support, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and ensure end users receive an excellent level of service.

You will work with a broad range of technologies, responding to incidents and service requests, configuring and deploying IT equipment, supporting Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune environments, and maintaining end-user devices.

You will collaborate closely with colleagues and end users, taking ownership of issues through to resolution while meeting agreed service levels.

This is a varied, customer-facing role that requires excellent communication skills, a proactive approach, and the ability to adapt to different client environments.

You will represent the business professionally at all times and be committed to delivering exceptional customer service.

A full UK driving licence is essential, as you will be required to travel to and provide support at other client sites when needed.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Microsoft Azure – User and identity management, Azure Active Directory (Microsoft Entra ID), virtual machines, networking, and cloud services.
  • Microsoft 365 – Administration of Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, One Drive, and licensing.
  • Microsoft Intune – Device management, endpoint security, application deployment, compliance policies, and mobile device management (MDM/MAM).
  • Share Point Online – Site administration, permissions management, document libraries, collaboration features, and basic site configuration.
  • Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) – User provisioning, group management, Conditional Access, and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
  • Desirable Skills
  • Experience with Power Shell for automation.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Defender and security best practices.
  • Experience with Windows 10/11 administration and troubleshooting.
  • Understanding of networking concepts (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VPN).
  • Experience supporting end users in a helpdesk or infrastructure environment.
  • Key Responsibilities
  • Administer and support the Microsoft 365 environment.
  • Manage Azure resources and user identities.
  • Configure and maintain Intune-managed devices.
  • Support and administer Share Point Online sites and permissions.
  • Troubleshoot cloud, endpoint, and user issues.
  • Implement security best practices including MFA and Conditional Access.
  • Maintain documentation and provide technical support to users.
  • Analytical fault finding on networks and systems including Servers, Switches, Firewalls & Routers
  • Deployment, maintenance and repair of end-point systems
  • Password resets, profile repairs/configurations, new starters, mail release/block
  • Communication of information to technical and non-technical users
  • The Candidate

Pivotal to the role is your ability to effectively communicate with the client and forge strong relationships.

  • A "customer first" mentality
  • Solid experience in 1st and 2nd line IT support.
  • Technical experience or qualifications in Microsoft and related products desirable
  • Experience of service desk environments, ideally in an MSP environment.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Experience with Datacentre Technologies and Cloud Services
  • The ability to keep documentation updated and add to where required.
  • Server, storage and end-point technology exposure.
  • A desire to learn and expand knowledge to grow within a competitive team.
