We help you start your career in programming by ensuring you have the necessary industry recognised certifications and skills, and we help you market yourself through a structured career-driven CV and LinkedIn profile. Finally, tutors help you create a credible portfolio to demonstrate skills to potential employers. We have years of experience helping graduates find their first roles in top UK companies and organisations that need entry-level qualified programming staff who can hit the ground running with up-to-date skills from this programme.

This programme is designed for individuals with none or limited experience and a real desire to start a career; please do not apply if you are an experienced programmer. It is flexible and can be completed in as little as a few weeks or a few months (study timings assume a minimum 5 hours per week). Training times may be reduced if more time can be invested each week.

There is a staged progression as described below:

  • Stage 1 – Learn HTML and CSS

The first step is completing a selection of professional and industry-recognised courses chosen to maximise learning and employability. HTML Essentials (up to 6 weeks) and CSS Essentials (up to weeks) are part of this stage. Training is delivered through multimedia video tutorials, presentations and quizzes via an online portal. You will be assigned an expert tutor and a support mentor for 1-2-1 or group sessions. After completion, you move to the next stage.

  • Stage 2 – Additional Online Training

The second step includes more advanced courses to prepare you for entry-level programming roles. Learn the Command Line (1.5 weeks), Learn Git & GitHub (1.5 weeks), Learn JavaScript (1.5 weeks), Learn Python 3 (1.5 weeks). JavaScript forms the foundation of most things on the Internet. Completion of additional study courses is voluntary but recommended: AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate.
