We are currently recruiting for Multiskilled Maintenance Engineers with a mechanical or electrical bias to join a global organisation. The engineer provides a broad-based electrical knowledge with the drive to learn some mechanical skills to become a multi-skilled engineer. The correct candidate will have a right first time mentality and a proactive approach to identifying ways to improve the site's performance. Good communication skills are required to ensure that a professional relationship with the client is developed and maintained at all times. This role involves working on fully automated material handling equipment such as conveyors, cranes, and similar systems.

Responsibilities

  • Provide broad-based electrical knowledge with developing mechanical skills to operate as a multi-skilled engineer.
  • Maintain a right-first-time mentality and proactively identify opportunities to improve site performance.
  • Communicate effectively to develop and maintain professional relationships with the client.
  • Work on fully automated material handling equipment such as conveyors and cranes.

Qualifications

  • Minimum NVQ Level 2 / City and Guilds in an electrical engineering discipline.
  • Previous experience in an operational engineering role within a similar environment.
  • Experience of managing small teams on a customer site.
  • Able to work Monday to Friday (E/L/N) on a 3-shift rotation.
  • Familiar with basic hand tools such as spanners, screwdrivers, and Allen keys.
  • Excellent communication skills and customer focus.
  • Ability to work in a time-critical environment.
