We are seeking a dynamic, creative, and delivery-focused highways engineering or transport planning professional to support Tetra Tech in a new partnership with Hertfordshire County Council (HCC). If you have developed technical skills and are eager to contribute to impactful projects, we want to hear from you.

HCC has awarded Tetra Tech a Professional Services Contract (PSC) for highways and transport services, involving a close partnership within the Highways One Service. Tetra Tech’s role includes providing Development Management Implementation (DMI) services, supported by a team of about 20 staff members. This role offers a hybrid working approach, combining office and remote work according to your preferences.

Requirements:

  • Some experience in highway design or supporting scheme development for the public sector or developers.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D and/or AutoCAD.
  • Experience in preparing or reviewing Transport Assessments and related planning documents.
  • Experience providing pre-application advice on Transport and Highways matters.
  • Enthusiastic, diligent, good communicator, collaborative, and reliable in delivering work on time.
  • Qualified with HNC/HND/Degree or Master’s in civil engineering, transport planning, or a related field.
  • Membership in a professional body such as ICE or CIHT is desirable.
