Due to our continued growth we are now recruiting for a Technical Delivery Lead – BMS Hardware Integration to be based at our customers site in Gaydon.
Our Embedded Systems Solutions department (ESS) encompasses all activities outlined under the Automotive SPICE (ASPICE) process framework, including systems engineering, software engineering, coding, and all levels of functional testing. Beyond core development, ESS also integrates critical supporting processes such as project management, risk assessment, functional safety, and cybersecurity, ensuring compliance with ASPICE standards and delivering reliable, secure, and high-quality embedded systems & solutions.
The Role:
As the Technical Delivery Lead for BMS Hardware Integration, you will own the technical vision and orchestrate the cross-functional delivery of hardware platforms supporting Battery Management Systems. This role covers the integration of SDU Controls, CSC modules, and WGM hardware with a focus on system safety, validation readiness, and supplier coordination. Youll guide squad-level execution, interface with leadership and stakeholders, and ensure product increments meet program goals across agile milestones.
Area of Responsibility:
Technical Leadership & Integration Governance
Set the technical roadmap for HW integration across SDU, CSC, and WGM domains
Ensure alignment of HW interfaces and embedded system requirements
Lead functional architecture definition and system interface control activities
Squad Orchestration & Agile Delivery
Drive PI planning, story mapping, and sprint velocity tracking for the HW Integration Squad
Guide cross-disciplinary engineers in delivering functional prototypes and release candidates
Support risk assessments, validation planning, and incremental integration gates
Stakeholder Communication & Governance
Represent integration squad progress in leadership and governance reviews
Provide strategic updates on delivery timelines, resource planning, and technical maturity
Liaise with adjacent squads, suppliers, and tier-one integrators for synchronized execution
Continuous Improvement & Best Practices
Champion agile tooling, HW traceability, and issue escalation workflows
Identify delivery inefficiencies and steer corrective actions across squads
Promote knowledge sharing, compliance with ISO 26262, and engineering excellence
Knowledge / Experience:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field
- Extensive experience in BMS hardware integration, embedded systems, or high-voltage platform delivery
- Deep understanding of SDU, CSC, and gateway hardware architectures
- Proven leadership in agile or SAFe engineering environments
- Proficiency with Confluence, Jira, and integration tracking tools
Desirable:
- Experience leading complex, multi-squad system programs in automotive or aerospace domains
- Familiarity with hardware validation pipelines, including HIL and compliance testing
- Strategic mindset with hands-on technical depth and stakeholder influence
- Track record of delivering robust, scalable solutions within safety-critical systems
