Responsibilities
- Providing teaching and support to pupils, following individualised curriculums/plans
- Preparing and delivering lessons and activities, focusing on communication and life skills
- Supporting pupil participation in trips, applying theory-based learning to practice
- Providing behaviourally based support to replace and reduce behaviours that impact quality of life
- Monitoring pupil progress to ensure teaching is appropriate and effective for each child
- Assisting with breaktime duties including playground support and snack times
- Providing personal care, encouraging pupils to maintain hygiene (toileting, feeding) as required
