Our client is an established analytical testing organization that is seeking an experienced Laboratory Manager to lead its high-throughput environmental testing laboratory in Newmarket. In this position, you will oversee the daily operations of the laboratory, ensuring that all analyses are conducted efficiently and accurately. Your leadership will be pivotal in managing a team of skilled scientists and technicians, helping with career progression and guiding them to meet and exceed client expectations, while adhering to quality standards.
Collaboration with the Quality Department and other stakeholders will be crucial in driving process improvements and enhancing laboratory efficiencies. You will also be responsible for implementing and overseeing health and safety protocols, with a particular focus on COSHH regulations, to maintain a safe working environment for all staff.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A degree or HNC in Chemistry or related scientific discipline
- 3-5 years of laboratory management experience in analytical chemistry, preferably within the environmental sector
- Experience working within High-throughput laboratories
- Understanding of UKAS
