Location: Underley Gardens School, Kirkby Lonsdale, Lancashire LA6 2DZ. Salary: Up to £53,200 pro rata (dependent on experience). Hours: 24 hours per week, 3 days (8.30am – 4.30pm). Contract: Permanent (term-time only, or flexibility around full-time can be discussed based on personal circumstances).

The Role

We are looking for a Speech and Language Therapist to join our in-house clinical team at Underley Gardens School. Working collaboratively with the education team, you will deliver bespoke Speech and Language Therapy assessment and intervention to pupils who may have experienced developmental trauma, be neurodivergent or have SEMH needs. You will work within the standards provided in the OFG Speech and Language Therapy Ways of Working, to guide practice within an education setting and clarify roles and responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver bespoke Speech and Language Therapy assessment and intervention to pupils in an education setting.
  • Collaborate with education teams to support pupils with developmental trauma, neurodivergence or SEMH needs.
  • Work within the OFG Speech and Language Therapy Ways of Working to guide practice and responsibilities.
  • Contribute to developing an enhanced speech and language therapy offer by supporting apprentices, students and therapy assistants.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Qualified Speech and Language Therapist (BSc/MSc/ensuring HCPC registration as applicable).
  • Experience in educational or clinical settings with pediatric populations is desirable.
