Care Support Worker – Ilminster role with Lifeways in Ilminster. This is a full-time position with shift patterns including 14-hour shifts, day shifts, sleep-ins, weekends, totaling 37.5 hours per week. Pay rate £12.60 per hour. Lifeways is the UK’s largest supported living provider, proudly supporting communities since 1995. We provide training, tools, and team support to help you thrive.
Responsibilities
- Support two sociable residents with complex health needs in their daily living
- Join residents for shopping trips and days out in the community
- Provide light-hearted activities around Ilminster
- Assist with medication and health monitoring
- Support financial and dietary needs
- Carry out domestic tasks and contribute to emotional wellbeing
Requirements / Qualifications
- Driver with a full UK licence to use company cars
- Experience as a Care Assistant, Support Worker, or Healthcare Assistant (or be new to care with the right attitude and big heart)
- Patient, empathetic, reliable
- Excellent communicator with a good sense of humour
- Calm under pressure and flexible
