We are looking for a talented and hands-on SEO Manager to lead a small but growing team within a vibrant creative and marketing agency that we are working with. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a leadership role and wants to mentor junior team members while staying deeply involved in the technical side of SEO.
As SEO Manager, you’ll lead from the front, guiding your team through key SEO strategies and campaigns for a diverse range of exciting clients. You’ll ensure that the agency stay ahead of industry trends, optimise every aspect of their clients digital presence, and continue to deliver exceptional results.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Leading and managing a small SEO team, providing guidance, mentoring, and helping junior team members develop their SEO skills.
Overseeing and executing SEO strategies that drive organic traffic, increase visibility, and improve rankings for a variety of clients.
Staying hands on with day to day SEO activities, including keyword research, on-page optimisation, technical SEO, link building, and content optimisation.
Conducting in depth website audits and identifying technical SEO issues, ensuring websites are optimised for crawlability, indexability, and performance.
Leading SEO reporting and analytics, tracking key performance metrics using Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, and other SEO platforms.
Collaborating with the content and development teams to ensure SEO is integrated across all digital touchpoints, from content strategy to website development.
Keeping up to date with the latest SEO trends, algorithm updates, and best practices, ensuring that we remain at the forefront of the industry.
Providing strategic recommendations for improving user experience and conversion rates in addition to SEO performance.
What we need you to have:
Proven experience in SEO, ideally in an agency environment, with a solid track record of improving search rankings and driving organic traffic.
Strong experience using SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, and Screaming Frog to analyse data, identify opportunities, and create strategies.
Strong knowledge of on page and off page SEO, including keyword research, meta tags, link building, and content optimisation.
Solid understanding of technical SEO, including website audits, site structure, schema markup, and resolving crawl errors.
Experience mentoring and developing junior team members, with a passion for leadership and growth.
Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make actionable recommendations.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with other teams across the agency.
A proactive attitude with an ability to manage multiple projects at once and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
This role is Hybrid working – 2-3 days per week in our London office and offers the opportunity to lead a dynamic team and make a direct impact on SEO strategies within the business.
