The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

New hires with more than 1 year of experience may be eligible for a $15K sign-on bonus. New hires with less than 1 year of experience may be eligible for a $10K sign-on bonus.

The Senior Radiologic Technologist is responsible for the following:

  • Performs the more complex imaging examinations while providing a safe environment for patients.
  • Reviews and evaluates requisitions for Diagnostic imaging procedures, abstracting data from patient charts and determining appropriateness of procedure prescribed given diagnosis and clinical signs for routine examinations.
  • Identifies patients according to Hospital Policy with 2 identifiers.
  • Selects appropriate equipment and technical factors to identify pathologic and normal anatomy.
  • Assesses patients' and parents' physical and emotional status and ability to respond to instructions and develops a care plan for that patients' specific needs.
  • Explains the examination and is able to answer questions from patients and parents regarding the exam and Radiation exposure, practices ALARA.
  • Follows Departmental QC/Data Integrity Workflow.
  • Practices High Reliability Training.
  • Responds to the uniqueness of the patient, creating a supportive environment for the patient and the family.
  • Identifies and reports equipment malfunctions through the INeedit application.
  • Assists in organizing and maintaining daily operations.
  • Performs additional tasks as assigned by the Modality Manager, Chief Technologist or Assistant Chief Technologist, such as ordering supplies, QA/QC projects, lead inventory, etc.
  • Helps with new departmental/hospital initiatives.
  • Promotes positive morale, teamwork, and willingness to make a significant contribution.
  • Trains fellows, residents, students and staff in imaging procedures and techniques.
  • Acts as a mentor to less experienced staff.
  • Participates in departmental and hospital meetings.
  • Completes all required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Complies with ETU.
  • Complies with HIPAA regulations.

  • Furthers professional education and maintains knowledge of current regulations and standards, policies and procedures.
  • Maintains up-to-date licensure/certification/registration in departmental file.

The Senior Radiologic Technologist must have the following:

  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT).
  • Must meet, successfully complete, and maintain the ARRT certification.
  • Registered in all modalities practiced.
  • BLS certification.
  • Associates Degree.
  • 3 years of experience.
  • Current MA Radiologic Technologist license is required for General Radiography, CT and MRI.
