An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Radiographer to join our experienced and friendly team at Clifton Park Hospital in York.
The successful applicant will work across various areas of the hospital including outpatients, theatres, wards, and within the radiology department. As part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team (MDT), you’ll play a key role in delivering diagnostic imaging for a variety of surgical patients including orthopaedics, ENT, and cosmetic surgery.
This role requires excellent organisational and communication skills to ensure strong working relationships with consultants, nursing teams, and administrative staff. Daily liaison with consultants is a key aspect of this position.
In addition to clinical duties, you will also be responsible for a range of non-clinical tasks including stock ordering, audits, supporting appointment bookings, and handling telephone enquiries.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a high-quality imaging service in line with Ramsay Health Care’s clinical governance and patient care standards
- Deliver excellent patient care throughout the imaging journey
- Participate in the on-call rota and work evening/weekend shifts as required
- Manage and process radiology bookings
- Ensure RIS/PACS processes are followed correctly and efficiently
- Uphold the standards of confidentiality and patient dignity in line with Ramsay policies
- Support departmental audits, maintain stock levels, and assist with administrative duties as required
What You Will Bring With You
- Diploma or degree in Diagnostic Radiography
- Current HCPC registration
- Proven experience in a clinical radiography setting, with evidence of post-registration development
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Clifton Park Hospital, opened in 2006, is situated just outside York city centre. Rated \’Good\’ by the Care Quality Commission, the hospital offers 24 beds, two theatres, a day case unit, and a large outpatients department with x-ray and physiotherapy facilities, including a small gym.
