Overview

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Housing Occupational Therapist to join the Housing Services team of a Council in Leicester. This is an exciting hybrid role that combines clinical expertise with leadership, focused on supporting vulnerable residents to live safely and independently in their homes.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and support a team of 8 Housing Support Coordinators overseeing minor home adaptations.
  • Triage and assess housing adaptation referrals received from the local council.
  • Collaborate with the Clinical Support Team to ensure a joined up approach to service delivery.
  • Monitor team performance, ensuring assessments comply with legislation and best practice.
  • Lead service improvements and maintain accurate documentation and reporting.

Requirements

  • Degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy (or equivalent) with HCPC registration.
  • Significant experience in occupational therapy, ideally in housing or community settings.
  • Proven leadership or management experience in a clinical or housing adaptation environment.
  • Strong understanding of housing legislation, DFGs, and minor adaptations processes.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and IT skills.
