Due to continued expansion, HAYLEY DEXIS has a vacancy for a Senior Fluid Power Technician to work within our well-established and experienced team based in the Exeter area and regionally. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis and in return, you will receive a competitive salary.

About the role

As our Senior Fluid Power Technician, you will have a sound knowledge of fluid power engineering and work as part of a customer facing team. This is a hands-on engineering support role involving maintenance and upkeep of Fluid Power Systems. We are looking for an experienced engineer covering the Southwest region spanning Exeter, Poole, Bristol and Cornwall. You will be providing customers and internal branches with technical support typically planned maintenance with some call outs providing quotes, troubleshooting and fault finding. You will have the ability to spot sales opportunities with customers and Hayley branch staff having the confidence to upsell and pass on leads. We are looking for someone with fluid power experience who has excellent general engineering & hand tool skills. You\\\’ll have a proven record in the MRO environment for hydraulic systems, will be able to prioritise your workload efficiently and have excellent IT skills. A full UK driving licence is also required. Working hours: 40 hours per week Monday to Friday.

Key responsibilities

  • Technical support site visits with customers and branches
  • Fault finding fluid power systems
  • Servicing of hydraulic systems onsite and inhouse
  • Workshop assembly and test of hydraulic & pneumatic systems
  • Onsite air leak surveys and following up with remedial work
  • General mechanical engineering
  • Engagement and generating sales leads with customers and Hayley branch staff
