Overview
As a Removal Person/Foreperson, you will play a crucial role in the logistics and transportation of goods. Your primary responsibility will be driving HGV vehicle & assist in the loading, unloading, and delivery of items to various locations. This position requires physical stamina, mechanical knowledge, and excellent communication skills to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
Duties
- Load and unload items from vehicles, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Drive various types of vehicles, including Hgv lorries and vans, to transport goods to designated locations.
- Perform routine checks on vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition before and after use.
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transport.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment in the warehouse and during deliveries.
- Assist with inventory management by tracking items loaded and unloaded from vehicles.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge for basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Experience in warehouse operations, including loading and unloading procedures.
- Valid commercial driving licence with experience as a delivery driver or van driver.
- Ability to drive lorries safely under various conditions.
