About The Role
As a Bank Regional Care Assistant with Barchester care homes, you’ll deliver warm, empathetic and respectful care and support across a 20-mile radius to help residents get the most out of life. It’s a very varied role that will see you provide cover as and when needed. You can expect to monitor the delivery of care when on duty, contribute to the person-centred care planning process for each resident and record observations on things like temperature and blood pressure amongst other important tasks. The role also involves providing support and companionship to ensure every resident enjoys meaningful one-to-one time with our carers on every shift.
This is a Bank position to provide cover as and when we need it (e.g., for annual leave or sick leave). Hours and days will vary accordingly.
About You
A background in care is important for the role, with a good understanding of elderly care. A Level 2 NVQ in Health and Social Care would be useful, as would a good understanding of the wider healthcare industry. Ideally, you’ll have a GCSE Grade C or above in English and Maths. You should be dedicated and compassionate, with a passion for promoting residents’ wellbeing. Flexibility is important, and because you’ll be travelling across the area you’ll need your own car or ready access to one. Mileage is covered when you travel over five miles from your main home. If you’re on duty during an inspection and we achieve a Good rating, you’ll qualify for a bonus.
If you’d like to use your care experience and people skills in an organisation that provides quality care for loved ones, this is a rewarding place to be.
Rewards Package
As well as competitive pay, this role offers true flexibility and opportunities for learning and development. We are one of the UK’s leading healthcare providers and value the growth of everyone who works for us.
As this is a Bank position to provide cover as and when needed, such as for annual leave or sickness, hours and days worked will vary.
