Are you a skilled R&D Chemist that\’s looking to take a step up in your career? We\’re working with a global manufacturer of construction related chemical products who are looking for someone to come in and oversee their UK Site\’s R&D Team. If you have a passion for leadership and seeing your work translated into real world applications, this is the job for you.
What You\’ll Be Doing
The roles primary focus will be on researching new and maintaining current formulations, overseeing the supply of raw materials and maintaining quality as they come in and collaborating with materials suppliers to find alternative raw materials. Part of this entails having daily meetings with your team to ensure they have consistent, achievable goals that they\’re working towards. They will also be expected to liaise with other departments to organise and support new and ongoing projects, including acting as a source of technical information when required.
What You\’ll Bring
Essential
Educated to a BSc or higher in Polymer Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or another relevant field Previous experience working in a formulations R&D laboratory (Minimum 3 Years) Demonstrable experience in people leadership Strong technical ability and an understanding of how to interpret and present complex data. Familiarity with Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality standards in laboratory and industrial settingsDesirable
