About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Raw Materials Technologist to support our technical team in a senior-level hybrid role. This position combines hands-on technical work with opportunities to influence raw material management across the supply chain. This is a great opportunity for someone with food manufacturing experience, looking to step into a more strategic and leadership-influenced role.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-end management of raw materials, including approval, risk assessments, compliance, and supplier performance monitoring.
- Conduct supplier assessments and audits to ensure compliance with food safety, legal, and quality standards.
- Perform risk assessments (HACCP, TACCP, VACCP) and proactively mitigate threats in the supply chain.
- Maintain raw material specifications, compliance records, and audit outcomes using internal systems.
- Collaborate with Procurement, Technical, and Quality teams to provide technical guidance and drive improvements.
- Support continuous improvement by sharing best practices across sites.
Key Skills / Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years\’ experience in a Raw Materials or Technical role within food manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of raw material compliance, traceability, and supplier risk.
- Experience conducting supplier audits and approvals.
- Knowledge of HACCP, TACCP, and VACCP.
- Ideally holds a Food Science or related degree.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to work across teams and with suppliers.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
