Primary Teaching Assistant | Cambridge – Ribbons & Reeves specialise in launching the careers of aspiring Primary Teachers. We support them by helping them to secure a full academic year of classroom experience through our long-term Primary Teaching Assistant placements.
If you are a Graduate with a 2:1 or above degree classification who is committed to commencing a career within Primary Education, this Primary Teaching Assistant role will be the perfect stepping-stone for you. Starting from September and lasting for the duration of the 2025-2026 academic year, our Primary Teaching Assistant roles will allow you to get fully immersed within the day-to-day life of nurturing, inclusive Primary Schools. Learning from Outstanding Primary Teachers each and every day you will enable yourself to start your career on the front foot with a solid foundation of classroom experience under your belt. This role is available at one of our partner schools in Cambridge.

Responsibilities
As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will provide 1:1 and whole-class support for pupils of all abilities, including some pupils who have SEN. You will work very closely with Qualified Primary Teachers and confidently deliver 1:1 and small group interventions to support early learning and development. You will help track pupil progress and promote strong social and communication skills.
