GRX Holdings, LLC is a fast-growing, family-oriented group of independent pharmacies looking for a Full-Time, up to 40 hours per week, Pharmacy Technician to work at our Medicap Pharmacy in Carlisle.

We are seeking a dependable Pharmacy Technician to process and fill prescriptions. You will assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision and in accordance with state and federal regulations, with technical functions in the pharmacy. Responsibilities include measuring, counting, labeling, record keeping, and communicating with patients and healthcare professionals. Customer satisfaction is key; therefore, you should handle each customer promptly, professionally, and friendly. We desire high-energy technicians who are motivated, able to multitask, and possess excellent customer service skills.

We offer a highly competitive pay rate based on experience. The position has no nights, Sundays, or holidays, with some flexibility in scheduling. Benefits include a 401k with company match, employee discounts, and other perks. Full-time employees are eligible for Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits.

Pharmacy Technician experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Although this position is listed as a \”Certified Pharmacy Technician,\” we welcome applications from both certified candidates and those without pharmacy technician experience. Compensation for non-certified candidates will be based on experience and training.

Responsibilities

• This role requires on-site attendance.
• Follow company policies and procedures, including register performance, security, and confidentiality.
• Greet customers and answer questions.
• Receive prescriptions and verify their validity.
• Process prescriptions electronically, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Resolve issues such as rejected insurance claims.
• Select medications, measure dosages, and fill prescriptions.
• Sort, stock, label medication, and monitor inventory.
• Undertake administrative tasks as assigned.
• Comply with all security measures and quality standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills

• Proven experience as a pharmacy technician is a plus.
• Experience with online prescription systems is a plus.
• Knowledge of medication and dosage measurement is a plus.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Outstanding organizational skills.
• Reliable with keen attention to detail.
• Must be nationally certified and registered with the Iowa Board of Pharmacy. Non-registered candidates must obtain registration prior to employment.

We are now offering a $1,000 sign-on bonus for Certified Pharmacy Technicians and a $500 bonus for non-certified technicians.
