Job Summary The Occupational Therapist implements standards of care for occupational therapy services, adhering to contractual agreements. Responsibilities Evaluate patients\’ functional status and home environment, identify equipment needs, and develop care plans. Perform work capacity evaluations and refer to specialized training if needed. Develop treatment programs, set goals, and communicate with healthcare professionals. Teach or retrain patients in daily activities, fabricate splints, and instruct in adaptive equipment use. Maintain clinical records and coordinate with care team members. Participate in meetings and discharge planning, and refer patients for additional services as needed. Instruct families and caregivers in treatment regimes. Minimum Qualifications Licensed or regulated as an Occupational Therapist in the practicing state. Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program. Eligible or certified by the NBCOT.
