Your role will include providing person-centred care and support to our residents, including personal care and assistance at meal times. Additionally, your role will include:
- Supporting and assisting the Deputy and Home Manager by providing leadership to the care team.
- Acting as the senior person on duty at night in the absence of the Deputy Manager and informing the Home Manager of any problems or concerns in relation to the Home.
- Acting as a role model and setting the standard for staff of person-centred care.
- Providing support to night care staff and acting as a champion for residents' safety and dignity.
- Delegating tasks fairly to all team members and assisting them to complete in a timely manner.
- Supervising, supporting, and assisting in the induction and training of the care staff in accordance with organisational policies and procedures.
Candidate Requirements:
- Experience of providing support to people in a caring environment and understanding the needs of older people.
- Minimum two years' experience in the care sector.
- Experience of writing, reviewing, and recording care plans.
- NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Health & Social Care or equivalent or an agreement to undertake relevant qualifications.
- Ability to motivate and inspire confidence and enthusiasm in residents and staff.
- Ability to provide coaching and guidance to care staff.
- Ability to lead and supervise.
- Ability to prioritise own workload and the workload of other staff.
- Knowledge of care legislation and guidance.
Hours of work are: full or part-time hours available, shifts are 8pm - 8am. In return, you'll get a competitive salary, access to other benefits and bonus schemes.
