About The Role:
Newly Qualified Plumbing Engineer
Location: Reading
Contract: Full-time (40 hourweek, including some evenings, weekends & bank holidays)
Salary: Up to Β£30,550 (includes location allowance) increasing to Β£33,400 with experience + Β£3,000 guaranteed bonus in your first year

At HomeServe, were looking for enthusiastic and motivated Newly Qualified Plumbing Engineers (NVQ level 2 equivalent) to join our growing team. Youll work alongside experienced plumbers, gain real-world experience in customers\’ homes, and benefit from training at our state-of-the-art academy.

About The Candidate:
What youll need:
- Level 2 NVQ in Plumbing (or equivalent qualification)
- A full UK Driving Licence (with fewer than 6 penalty points)
- Strong customer service skills
- Some hands-on experience in a domestic plumbing environment
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn
Training & Career Support:
Well give you the tools and support to build your skills and confidence:
- Weeks 12: Induction
- One-on-one Health & Safety training with SEC
- Weeks 314: Buddying
- 12 weeks shadowing a Senior Engineer
- Learn processes, procedures, and best practices
- 8 hours of coaching per week
- Weeks 1518: Supervised Practical Work
- Youll start working hands-on, under full supervision
- Focus on technical ability, customer service, and process compliance
- Weeks 1926: Supported Independence
- Lowered job targets to give you time to grow
- 8 hours coaching per week
- Week 27 onwards: Business as Usual
- Performance monitored, with ongoing coaching and support as needed
