Contract opportunity for a Mechanical Systems Engineer specialising as a DFMEA Facilitator is available in Peterborough.

As the FMEA Facilitator you will lead engineers through the full Proactive Reliability process – from risk identification, assigning mitigation activities and creation of the DVP. Working across system and component FMEA, reporting to project leaders. You will be involved from the beginning of a new program, defining requirements and objectives.

The role involves:

1. Scheduling, chairing & facilitating FMEA sessions
2. Involvement in FMEAs both at system & component level
3. Providing support & training on FMEA process & FMEA tool software (Plato e1ns)
4. Creating & communicating FMEA health metrics
5. Developing FMEA health metric processes & tools
6. Supporting the creation of optimised component & engine level validation plans
7. Identifying & delivering continuous process improvement opportunities

We are looking for an individual with:

1. Experience of DFMEA facilitation and creation
2. Demonstrated experience of planning validation and test requirements
3. A Systems Engineering approach to product development
4. Strong communication skills, both written and working as part of a team
5. Experience of Proactive Reliability methods and demonstration of Product Quality

Mandatory skills include:

1. Demonstrated experience of Engine Design, Development or Simulation
2. 6 Sigma Methodology, Continuous Process Improvement & Lean
3. Experience of applications with construction machinery or generating sets
