Responsibilities
- Perform vehicle diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of makes and models.
- Conduct thorough MOT tests in accordance with DVSA standards, ensuring vehicle safety and compliance.
- Accurately diagnose mechanical and electrical faults.
- Carry out servicing, including oil changes, filter replacements, and brake checks.
- Repair or replace worn parts, including clutches, gearboxes, engines, and suspension components.
- Maintain accurate records of all work performed and parts used.
- Communicate effectively with customers about vehicle issues and recommended repairs.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and garage procedures.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure efficient workshop operations.
What We\\\βre Looking For
- Experience as a qualified Mechanic.
- Valid MOT Tester certification (Classes 4 & 7).
- NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent qualification.
- Proven diagnostic skills and experience with modern vehicle diagnostic equipment.
- Strong understanding of vehicle systems, including electrical, braking, steering, and suspension.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- A full, valid UK driving licence.
