Location: Driffield, East Yorkshire
Salary: Β£30,000 to Β£38,000 dependant on experience
Staffpower Group are hiring for a Manual Machinist with experience operating mills and lathes, particularly Bridgeport machines for our long-established engineering company based in Driffield. This is a great opportunity to join a skilled and supportive team within a precision manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Operate manual milling and turning machines (Bridgeport)
Produce components to tight tolerances and quality standards
Interpret technical drawings and work with minimal supervision
Perform basic machine maintenance and ensure a clean, safe workspace
What Were Looking For
Proven experience as a manual machinist, particularly with mills and lathes
Confidence working on Bridgeport machines
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Desirable
CNC machining experience (training may be provided)
Understanding of manual machining practices even if primarily CNC trained
We are also open to considering CNC machinists with a solid understanding of manual machining principles.
