The Role
The Birmingham College of Food is currently looking for a skilled Lecturer. You will be teaching in our bakery kitchens, where our students are able to gain hands-on experience and learn all the skills that will introduce them to the bakery industry.
Our industry standard bakery kitchens will allow you to enhance and teach your wide knowledge of skills and expertise and enable you to teach learners current practices as replicated in the industry.
Essential requirements
- Experience of teaching or training students or employees within a high level, busy, professional bakery setting.
- Exceptional bakery skills and knowledge.
- An ability to train, manage and motivate students of all ages and abilities.
- High levels of organisational and administrative skills in a busy commercial setting.
- Experience and expert knowledge of, food costing, procurement and food hygiene due diligence recording.
- A strong awareness of food safety regulations and best hygiene practice within a busy working professional bakery.
