Role Overview: Lead the Manufacturing Science and Technology (MSAT) Team at Barnard Castle, overseeing a portfolio of products in New Product Introduction, sterile manufacturing, clean liquids, and dermatological applications. Manage product lifecycle, driving improvements in supply chains. Focus on performance, delivery, capability, development, and talent management to meet business goals. Develop technical strategy aligned with central teams and technical stewards. Lead a team of technical professionals, fostering capability development and future leadership within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ownership of core technical processes including Product Lifecycle Management, New Product Introduction, Scale Up, and Technical Transfer.
  • Support site initiatives and contribute to strategic planning as a member of the leadership team.
  • Oversee product lifecycle activities, process improvements, and regulatory compliance.
  • Facilitate Continued Process Verification (CPV) activities.
  • Provide technical leadership for issue resolution and investigations using root cause analysis and CAPA.
  • Participate in the GSK MSAT community for strategic input.
  • Engage in talent management, including succession planning and capability building.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in biopharmaceutical process development, project management, and technology transfer.
  • Leadership experience in a biopharmaceutical manufacturing environment for over 5 years.
  • Experience with product registration, preferably with FDA and/or EMEA.
  • Knowledge of GMP, ICH Guidelines, and validation practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective communication and decision-making abilities.
